Robert Hamblin is a multidisciplinary artist interested in gender, sexuality and human interdependence with the earth. Born in 1969 in Johannesburg, South Africa, he lives in Cape Town and divides his professional time between Cape Town and Italy. Hamblin’s work has been exhibited in the Iziko South African Museum and internationally. His work is in both public and private collections worldwide. He is the published author of “Robert. A queer and crooked memoir” which Supreme Court Justice Edward Cameron described as “A remarkable feat that challenges people to examine not just their own sexuality and identity but their very humanity.
